Wings Furniture and Interiors was started by Ben Butterell in 2013. The passion behind the business is for repurposing furniture. Whether it be turning old parquet flooring into beautiful, stylish coffee tables or re-claimed scaffold boards into funky dining room tables and benches –we just love to breathe a new lease of life into unused items!
Ben is a classically trained furniture maker with a love of architecture and furniture – particularly from the mid century. He takes his inspiration from the likes of Day, Race, Eames, Hepworth, Mackintosh and Conran. He is a collector of these pieces and also a big fan of repro….well why not! Ben’s personal love is wood, but here at Wings we have a talented team of craftsmen who specialise in wood, metal work, upholstery and spray painting ……….enabling us to make pretty much anything in any size!
We also spend a lot of time at auctions, reclamation yards, flea markets and the like, scouring for old bits of furniture that need a bit of love. As a result we have a bit of an ‘Aladdin’s Cave’ full of everything from old fruit machines, to mirrors, pictures and quirky bits and bobs…..all being lovingly renovated and just waiting for a new home.
Wings love interiors and we can manage, advise on, or create a unique look for your home or workplace. We will make one off furniture pieces and decorate to whatever funky spec your heart desires.
We work with many restaurants and bars; fitting them out with stylish, yet durable tables and seating. We can help you with a design theme, make up mirrors, picture frames etc, or just add in some of our quirky retro items to give your business a unique look of its very own! We will happily come and see you and discuss your requirements. We can ( and have ) done full fit outs in a very short space of time – so just call us and we will see what we can do.
We also design and make really beautiful unique items of furniture. These can either be our own ideas or perhaps based around a concept of yours that you want to bring to life. Either way, they are bespoke and will look stunning in your home or business…
